Foxglove Therapy is founded by me, Ffion Pinder. I offer accessible and personalised mental health care from the comfort of your home.

Therapeutic Approach

I am a therapist, specialising in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

CBT is a structured form of talking therapy, which focuses on what difficulties you are currently struggling with and what we can do to help you manage better. The CBT approach focus on 2 areas. Firstly, CBT helps you to understand and challenges your ‘cognitions’ which is your thought process, worries and thinking traps. Secondly, CBT provides you with ways to reclaim your life through more helpful, healthy and joyful behaviours.

EMDR helps people who hold unhelpful beliefs and memories that are impacting them in the present moment. This can vary in terms of unhelpful beliefs about themselves, the world around them or other people. The memories can relate to a significant traumatic event, multiple complex traumas, or clusters of ‘small t’ traumas. Small t traumas are stressful life events that are not life threatening, dangerous or violent, but they have had a big impact on us.

Therapy can be challenging, so your comfort and safety is a top priority. Furthermore, we strive to create an environment where you feel unjudged, listened to and validated.

Different Platforms to Therapy

Foxglove Therapy provides mostly online therapy but if you feel that face-to-face therapy would support you better then this can be arranged with you. If you are unsure of which would be most beneficial to you, do not hesitate to contact me. Initial consultations can allow me to introduce myself to you and to answer any queries that you have.
